Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Alert CPT Code for Multilayer Compression

The AMA has released its new CPT codes for 2010 and CPT code 29581 for
“Application of multi-layer venous wound compression system, below the knee”
was included.

CPT 29581 is effective January 1, 2010.
CPT code 29581 has been assigned to an Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) for the Medicare Hospital Outpatient Clinic. CPT 29581 is included in APC group 0058 which has a reimbursement rate of $71.03 for 2010.
