AAWC, as a participating member of the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders, collaborated on the development of quality measures related to wound care for physician reporting. These have been submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Four measured were developed through the Alliance:
• Vascular testing for patients with leg ulcers
• Documentation of support surface or offloading of patients with stage II or IV pressure ulcers
• Documentation of venous compression at each visit for patients with venous stasis ulcers
• Documentation of offloading status at each visit for patients with diabetic foot ulcers
